How to Start Claw Them Into Shape
Talk to Beren After Completing In Dragon's Wake
Find Beren in Moonglow Garden after completing the quest In Dragon's Wake. Here, he will mention about his desire to find a worthy students to train.
Where to Find Beren If He's Missing
If you can't find Beren by his tent, you'll find him by the training area in Borderwatch. After talking to him there, pass the time until night, and then return to his tent to trigger the quest.

The Claw Them Into Shape starts at Moonglow Garden located west of the Borderwatch Outpost.
How to Complete Claw Them Into Shape

Make your way to Clovis's Barberie in the Merchant Quarter in Vernworth and speak to Humphrey, who is standing near the barberie.
Exhaust his dialogue and choose the Tell him about Beren option, and he'll seek out Beren for training.
Purchase Three Swords
Beren also requires 3 swords of any kind for his training regime. He'll accept any sword purchased in Vernworth or at the Borderwatch Outpost. If you can't find him by his tent, he should be in the training area at Borderwatch during night time.
Alternatively, you can also supply him with swords that you get as loot from enemies and monsters.
Have a bout with Beren
Make your way back to Beren's Tent to give him the sword and talk about Humphrey. If he doesn't mention Humphrey, leave the area and try speaking with him until he mentions the new recruit. Beren will then take you to a ring and challenge you to spar with him.
Your goal is to deal enough damage that you push Beren out of the ring. We recommend switching to a Fighter since its Shield Bash ability can easily push Beren out of the ring. Know that the quest will proceed normally even if you lose or accidentally step out of the ring.
Follow and Assist Beren
Once you're done sparring, a soldier named Eli will interrupt and request help dealing with a Goblin Pack. Follow Beren to the rope bridge and deal with the Goblins on your way.
Eventually, you'll encounter a wounded soldier who recounts how a Cyclops attacked them. After a short cutscene, speak with Beren to complete the quest.
