A Dullahan (Headless Horseman) can be found west of the Waterfall Cave at night. If you're not sure where this cave is, it's located north of the Borderwatch Outpost, which was the first settlement that you visited at the beginning of the game.

Dullahan is a knight covered in a spiritual purple flame, cradling his own head in his arm. He engages in deadly swordplay with a firm stance. In the dark, he transforms into black mist and stalks the living.

Avoid Its Growl at the Beginning of the Fight
Once you encounter the Dullahan, it will teleport right in front of you and unleash a growl that will render you unconscious for a short amount of time. Try to evade and keep your distance first once the fight commences to avoid being knocked out by it.
Stay Away from its Pink Aura Form
The Dullahan can transform into a pink aura that will chase you around and slowly drain your health once it catches you. Make sure to activate dash to outrun it. You can also drink curatives to quickly recover your stamina if you're about to run out of energy.
Resort to Using Ranged Attacks
Dullahan mainly uses its sword to attack you, so we highly recommend resorting to using a bow or casting spells to damage it from a safe distance. Just be aware that it can still teleport near you to unleash a deadly sword combo.
If you're using a melee vocation, you can just land a few hits at him and then hop back a bit to avoid being slashed by its sword, and then go near it and start hitting it again.

Anonymous over 1 yearIf you go out the northease exit of Vernworth and head east you will reach the RUined settlement.(theres a campfire there) a dullahan will spawn there at night, has ganked me twice there so far. Just hang around the area till the fog rolls in and good luck.
