Await Oxcart at Station Pay Fare at Oxcart Coachman Doze Off to Speed Up Ride Defeat Raids on the Way
|
Oxcarts will only be available during the day. If it is nighttime, or if an oxcart currently isn't at the station, you will have to find the oxcart station bell and hold B to skip time and wait for the next oxcart.
How to Change Time of Day
Talk to the coachman of the oxcart, who is usually wearing a feathered hat. Pay the oxcart fare, then hop into the cart and take a seat.
A quicker way to do this would be to head straight into the oxcart and sit down, prompting the coachman to ask you to pay the fare.
Press Y to doze off, skipping the entire ride to arrive immediately at your destination. Stay alert, as you may be awoken by enemy raids on the way!
There is a chance that your oxcart ride will be ambushed by a raid. Get up from the cart and defeat all enemies before you can carry on with the ride. After the enemies have been taken care of, get back on the cart and doze off once more.
In order to fully experience the world of Dragon's Dogma 2, we recommend walking to new areas on foot, so you can discover treasure chests, fight enemies and pick up Golden Trove Beetles, Seeker's Tokens and other materials along the way.
Riding an Oxcart to a new area takes a long time, and if you doze off while on the ride, the path the oxcart takes will not be uncovered on the map, leaving you no choice but to explore it on foot anyway.
If you find yourself needing to go back to a town you've already visited, it is worth taking an oxcart to save on the effort of having to fight your way through enemies along the path.
The oxcart fare is quite cheap and can easily be recouped by slaying a few enemies and looting Gold off their bodies.
