Encounter Mildred Behind the Stardrop Inn

Mildred is found behind the Stardrop Inn, and she'll automatically talk to you as you pass her, starting the quest. If she's not there, progress the main quest and return to the area to see if she has appeared.

Quest Available Earlier in Update Ver. 1.05

As of Update Ver. 1.05, according to the patch notes, “the quest that allows players to acquire their own dwelling, where they can save and rest,” will be “available earlier in the game.”

  2. Pass the Time for a Week
  3. Purchase Mildred's House

Go to Mildred's House

Go to Mildred's house found near the center of the common quarter in Vernworth, and accept her offer to stay there for a week while she's away.

Pass the Time for a Week

While Mildred is away on her week-long adventure, you can continue doing other quests. Alternatively, you can choose to pass the time by sleeping in-game for a week. You'll receive a notification indicating that a week has passed, prompting you to speak with Mildred upon her return.

Dragon

Mildred changes her mind and offers you her home for a whopping 20,000 Gold! Accepting her offer will get you your own private dwelling!

Free Resting Place You can restore HP and Stamina for free! You can also use the bedding to pass the time.
Initiate an Inn Rest Save Sleeping in your own home will apply an "Inn Rest Save".
Storage Chest Your own storage chest that lets you deposit, withdraw, and combine items.

The benefits of owning a private home include having a free resting place that allows you to pass time from day to night or vice versa, which also fully restores your Health and Stamina and applies an Inn Rest Save.

Additionally, there's a storage box available for depositing and withdrawing items and gear. You also have the option to combine items in the storage box.
