Primary Stats | Secondary Stats |
Primary Stats are the stats you acquire by leveling up. These stats are affected by Stat Growths and will have different values when leveling depending on your current vocations.
The Health stat represents the character's ability to withstand damage before dying.
Your maximum health decreases as you build up the Loss Gauge by withstanding hits or dying.
Restore health and the Loss Gauge by using Curatives or resting an inns, campsites, or houses.
How to Heal and Restore Max Health
Stamina is the primary stat and resource used to perform Weapon Skills and other actions such as sprinting, jumping, and holding onto large enemies.
Lossing all your Stamina exhausts you, rendering you immobile and unable to defend yourself from enemy attacks!
A Harspud Roborant and better Curatives will restore sufficient Stamina to get you back to the fight!
Max Encumbrance is the stat responsible for how much weight your character and pawn can carry before they slow down and eventually get over-encumbered.
Bringing too many heavy items will cause you to get the Heavy or Overencumbered statuses, making you slower, consuming more Stamina, or even losing the ability to sprint.
The Max Encumberance stat is influenced by the character's height and weight. It can be improved by equipping rings that increase Max Encumbrance or using Golden Trove Beetles.

The Strength and Magick stats are the offensive stats that determine the damage you deal with physical and magical attacks, respectively.
These stats are largely dependent on your equipped weapon, which can be further improved by enhancing.
Augments, such as the Theif's Verve and the Sorcerer's Sagacity can also be equipped to improve these stats.
Best Weapons and All Weapons List
Defense and Magick Defense is the stat that determines how much damage you receive from physical and magical attacks, respectively.
These stats are primarily obtained from equipped head, body, and leg armors, which can be further improved by enhancing them.
Augments, such as the Fighter's Mettle and the Mage's Apotropaism can also be equipped to improve these stats.
Secondary stats are your character's other stats that do not primarily scale with your level but your equipment.
A character's Knockdown Power stat determines how easily they can stagger or knockdown enemies to open them up for a lethal blow!
This stat is more commonly found in melee weapons that deal strike damage. It can be further improved by enhancing it from a Dwarven Armorer or Smithy.
How to Unlock Dwarven Smithing
Knockdown Res is the stat that helps you and your pawns endure hits without staggering or getting knocked down.
More Knockdown Res is commonly found in heavy armor and can be further improved by enhancing it from a Dwarven Armorer or Smithy.
How to Unlock Dwarven Smithing
Slash and Strike Strength are stats that determine the damage type your weapon deals.
Hammers and Maces will have Strike Strength, while Swords and Daggers will have Slash Strength.
Different monsters have different weaknesses. Enemies, such as Skeletons, are more vulnerable to strike damage!
The Slash and Strike Res stats decrease the damage you receive from their respective damage types.
These stats can be found in various head, body, and leg armors.
Best Equipment and All Equipment List
The Element and Debilitations stats show the inherent element or debilitation damage your weapon deals.
An example of this would be The Exalted mace, which you can obtain at the end of Drabnir's Grotto. This weapon deals 100% of its damage as Holy Element instead.
All Damage Types and Elemental Weaknesses
Elemental and Debilitation Res are stats that help endure elemental hits and other attacks that cause debilitations.
Elemental Res decreases the damage you receive from a specific element. In contrast, Debilitation Res decreases the debilitation build-up and causes you to be debilitated less.
Magical Robes that Mages or Sorcerers wear, as well as Cloaks and Rings, provide resistance to certain elements and debilitations. Some even prevent the accumulation of debilitations, such as the Ring of Thawing, which prevents Ice-bound accumulation.

Raising the level of your character increases your stats.
Leveling up while being a particular vocation changes the values at which each stat increases. For example, Mages get more Magick from each level-up, while Warriors get more HP.
This Growth Stat system is something always to be mindful of when leveling your character, as these stat changes cannot be recovered or changed.
Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast
The majority of your offensive stats are obtained through your weaponry.
Weapons can be further improved to provide more Strength or Magick by enhancing them from armorers and smiths of different Smithing Styles.
Best Weapons and All Weapons List
Defensive stats are largely obtained from the Head, Body, and Leg Armor slots.
While Cloaks also provide defensive stats, they give pretty minuscule benefits compared to other equipment slots.
Best Equipment and All Equipment List
Rings are powerful additions to your equipment and may provide different stat boosts or other benefits.
Some rings provide flat bonuses to stats, while others negate debilitation build-up!
The Triumph Ring is a good ring you can acquire by submitting Seeker Tokens to the Vocations Guild. This ring increases your Max Health, Stamina, and Weight Limit!
Changing vocations changes your base stats, which may increase your stats, but at the cost of lowering others. For example, switching from Mage to a Fighter will increase your Strength but decrease your Magick stat.
List of All Vocations and Classes
Augments are different passive skills you can unlock from each vocation and equip while being another vocation.
For example, you can equip the Theif's Verve and the Archer's Lethality Augments while being a Warrior to deal devastating charge attacks to enemy weakpoints!
