Access your storage by speaking to an Innkeeper and choosing the “Organize Storage” option. Here, you can deposit and withdraw items to and from your storage.
Innkeepers offer free storage services in cities, towns, and outposts.

Other than Innkeepers, you can access your storage through a storage chests in your house. This, of course, requires you to buy a house to access your storage.
The first house you can purchase is located in Vernworth during the A Place to Call Home quest.

If you are far from an inn, you may temporarily store your items on your pawns by giving them to your pawns.
This makes pawns with increased weight limit useful for extended adventures. But if you want to carry more by yourself, consider changing your character's physical appearance, specifically the height and weight, to increase your weight limit.

A storage chest is always present in a house you purchase, and you can use it to access your storage.
All your storages are shared across all the houses you own and from the innkeeper.
Unfortunately, houses may come at a steep price. The cheapest house you can purchase is for completing the A Place to Call Home quest for 20,000G in Vernworth.
How to Get Gold Fast: Money Farming Guide
If you do not have the money to purchase a house yet, simply accepting to care for Mildred's house in A Place to Call Home gives you access to the house, including the bed and the storage chest, for a whole week.
To start the quest A Place to Call Home, search for Mildred in the alley east of the Stardrop Inn in Farnworth. If Mildred isn't there, you can pass the time indefinitely until she shows up.
