Use Palladium and Halidom to support your allies first. Afterwards, use Flagration when near enemies to damage them then Levin if you want to snipe from long range.

The best endgame equipment for the Mage is bought at the Armory in the Volcanic Island Camp. The build would be able to help you kill Dragons to farm Wyrmslife Crystals and purchase all the strongest post-game equipment from Bay Wayside Shrine.
The weapon to aim for is the Volant White staff then purchase the Zodiac Charm, Ares Morpho Robe, and Jewel-Woven Sandals armor pieces to amp up your defenses.
Considering Mages need to dish out a healing from behind the lines while using a lot of damaging skills at the same time, we suggest purchasing a Ring of Percipience and a Ring of Quickening. This balances out the need to maximize magick damage and manage stamina in fights.

The best mid game weapon for the Mage is the Staff, Solar Numen. You can get the weapon from Awaran's Arms as soon as you arrive in Bakbattahl.
The best mid game armor for the Mage is also bought in Bakbattahl - with Illuminary Crown, Monastic Toga, and Neophyte's Hosen taking the top spots. They can all be bought from Bodas' Armory and will set you back a total of 81,500 gold.
For rings and cloaks, equip those that will improve the Mage's overall Stamina and Magic rating especially in the mid-game where your team will need better heals and Mages need to cast magic more frequently.

The best early game weapon for the Mage is the Staff, Goblin Bane. You can get the weapon the earliest from Celeste's Smithy in Checkpoint Rest Town for 25,000 gold.
Likewise, the best early game armor for the Mage is also bought from Celeste's Smithy - with Bishop's Crown, Enchanter's Quilted Gown, Euphoric Hosen taking the top spots. Getting all of them will set you back a total of 51,700 gold.
For rings and cloaks, equip those that will improve the Mage's overall Stamina and Magic rating as mages needs the stats to cast spells more frequently and dish out better heals!

The best party composition for a Mage has their main pawn as a Sorcerer, and hiring two Fighter pawns. If you need more damage, you can dismiss one Fighter pawn and hire a Warrior instead.
The two Fighters would mostly take over the front line duties, making sure they deal damage and take all enemies' attention away as you heal and buff them using your skills.
The Sorcerer will then cast their spells from the sidelines and deal immense damage. Also, make sure to equip the proper elemental skills to deal with enemy elemental weaknesses. Try to keep an eye out for your Sorcerer though as sometimes rogue enemies will beeline to them to deal cheap shots.

All Maister's Teachings Locations and Skills
When you have extra stamina, always try to cast Palladium on your allies, especially your front-line Pawn. This is especially useful when you get Palladium's upgrade where the nullification of damage will be party-wide!
Mages can attack enemies using various elemental spells. During battle, your Pawn may tell you the enemy's weakness so use that type of elemental magic to deal more damage.
As much as Mages can also deal damage, their main purpose is to make sure the party survives a battle. Always take time to track your allies' health bar and heal when necessary!
If you have enough stamina, you can cast spells that infuse elemental effects on your allies' weapons. Also, try to infuse the element that the boss is weak to for maximum damage!
