The best type of meat to cook is the Aged Beast-Steak, giving a huge plus 5 in Strength, Defense, Stamina, and Recovery. However, this type of meat is rare and not something you will usually find from monsters.

Scrag of Beast is another recommended meat type to cook. Despite only giving a plus 3 in the Strength, Defense, and Stamina stats, it's a common drop and you will frequently obtain this from enemies you've defeated.

Rotten Meat Provides Less Bonuses on Stats

Cooking rotten or spoiled meat provides less efficacy on the bonuses you'll receive in stats. If you managed to obtain high quality meat, make sure to immediately cook and consume it before they spoil!
