Cooking can be done at any campsite in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2). Read on to learn how to cook, the benefits of cooking, and find out if the cooking cutscenes change each time you cook different types of food!

To start cooking food, set up a camp using a camping kit and approach the camp's kettle and select Cook.
Setting up camp can be done at one of the many campfires located across the map.
Camping Kit Guide: How to Make a Camp

After interacting with the camp's kettle, a cooking menu will pop up and you will have to choose an ingredient, which is usually meat obtained from monsters you have slain. Select an ingredient and you will begin cooking food for you and your pawns to eat.

The best type of meat to cook is the Aged Beast-Steak, giving a huge plus 5 in Strength, Defense, Stamina, and Recovery. However, this type of meat is rare and not something you will usually find from monsters.
Scrag of Beast is another recommended meat type to cook. Despite only giving a plus 3 in the Strength, Defense, and Stamina stats, it's a common drop and you will frequently obtain this from enemies you've defeated.
Cooking rotten or spoiled meat provides less efficacy on the bonuses you'll receive in stats. If you managed to obtain high quality meat, make sure to immediately cook and consume it before they spoil!

Cooking meat provides a boost to the Strength, Defense, Stamina, and Recovery stats for your Arisen. The higher the quality of meat, the more increase in stats you will receive.

The cooking cutscenes in the game are captured using real food, and one really neat detail added in the game is that the cutscenes will change each time you cook different types of meat.
