How to Create a Forgery

Create Forgeries in Ibrahim's Scrap Store

Dragon
Once you reach Checkpoint Rest Town, you can start creating forgeries or imitations of any item. Here, You can find Ibrahim's Scrap Store, which specializes in forgery, allowing you to create a forged item closely resembling the original item.

Creating forgeries requires you to pay an amount of gold called the Fabrication Cost, which varies between items, and give out the item to Ibrahim until the forgery is complete.

Note that though these forgery items look identical to the original item, many do not function the same way as the original.

Forgery Time

It takes around one to two in-game days to create a forgery, depending on the item. You may pass the time in an inn, tavern, or bench and proceed to get the original item and its imitation from Ibrahim.

Since the passing of time may affect quests, you may also consider adventuring and completing quests instead while waiting for the forgery to complete.

What are Forgeries?

Visual Duplicate of an Item

Dragon
A Forgery item are visual copies of the original item.

Though a forgery may have the appearance of the original item, it does not guarantee to serve the same functions as the original.

For example, forgery can be used to create imitations of quest items to give them to multiple NPCs instead. However, some NPCs may be able to detect that the item is fake, influencing how the quest plays out.

Items Worth Forging

Quest Items

Dragon

One major reason for forgery is to satisfy multiple parties with a requested item for a quest.

If a quest requires you to collect an item and submit it to one of two parties, you may create a forged copy of the quest item and submit the items to both parties – one receiving the fake one. A classic example of this is the Jadeite Orb quest in Checkpoint Rest Town.

Simple Items

Dragon

Another good example of items to get a forged copy of are simple functioning items such as keys.

The Gaol Key will be given to you by Brant for The Caged Magistrate quest, and you will have to return it by the end of the quest.

However, if you forge the Gaol Key, you'll get to keep the copy that functions exactly as the original one. This key can then be used to set yourself free from jail if needed.

Items to Avoid Forging

Magic Items

Dragon
While you can create forgeries of items with complex magic, it will not function at all.

Items such as Ferrystones and Wakestones can be forged, but the resulting item will not work.
