Inside the caverns of the Waterfall Cave, northeast of Melve, resides an injured Gorechimera, an undead variant of the Chimera. This is the earliest spot to fight the Gorechimera and retrieve Black Freakish Manes.
This Gorechimera has the lion and snake heads disabled, making the fight easier. However, the goat head can still revive these heads with reduced HP, increasing the Gorechimera's power again.

Disable the Snake Head First
The snake head spews out poisonous acid that inflicts the blight debilitation.
It is best to kill off this head first as it's quite fragile, and it stops you from dealing with the goat head while the Gorechimera is at full power.
Unlike the normal Chimera variant, the Gorechimera's snake head cannot be fully cut off, and the goat head has a spell to revive it, although with a smaller HP pool.
Disable the Goat Head Next
The Gorechimera's goat head casts powerful magic spells, including reviving its other heads to life, powering itself up to full power once again! This makes the goat head the next target to kill.
The Archer Vocation's Lethality Augment is an excellent augment to use as it helps you deal increased damage to weak spots, including the goat head!

Silence the Goat Head
Alternatively, you can stop the hoat head from casting spells by using silencing effects such as the Mage Vocation's Solemnity kill.
This is especially a good option if the other Gorechimera heads have been disabled first.

Use Holy Element Against the Lion
The lion head is vulnerable to magic attacks. The holy element may prove extra useful in fighting the Gorechimera.
Weapons that deal Holy element or the Mage's Empyrean skill will deal more damage to the Gorechimera.

Hire Pawns to Counter Gorechimera
Consider hiring pawns to exploit the Gorechimera's weaknesses that you or your main pawn cannot deal with.
It's best to hire a ranged pawn or one that is proficient in dealing damage while mounted, which can focus on the goat head or a magic pawn that can cast powerful offensive or supportive spells.
