Tale's Beginning is unlocked immediately after completing Gaeoled Awakening. After the opening cutscene ends, Justinn will speak with you and automatically gives the quest.

Follow Justinn as he leads you all the way to the stronghold. Defeat the packs of Goblins along the way until you reach the Borderwatch Outpost to start creating your Main Pawn.

Attempt to Go Through the Gate

Dragon

After the introduction to Riftstones, head for Melve through the gate. You will be promptly stopped by a guard suggesting you should take a rest first at the inn.

Rest at the Inn

Dragon

Proceed to the blue tent nearby and view the introduction to inns. Rest for the night to conclude this main quest.
