How to Unlock Warrior

Complete Vocation Frustration

Dragon

Vocation Frustration is a side quest given by Klaus at the Vernworth Vocation Guild. After viewing vocations at the guild for the first time, Klaus will inform you of what is needed to unlock this vocation.

Each requested weapon will individually unlock their respective vocation for purchase. You can return or find a similar weapon type elsewhere to unlock the remaining vocation.

Vocation Frustration Rewards and Location

Greatsword and Archistaff at Trevo Mine

Dragon

The side quest weapons Two-Hander and Grievous Horns can be found at the Trevo Mine. The cave entrance to this mine is located to the east of Vernworth.

Note that it will be a long trek on foot. Clearing the mine can take until nighttime in-game. Prepare a lantern, a party with three pawns, good gear, and restoration items before heading out.

It is possible to encounter some bosses such as the Cyclops on the way to the mine. They can be tough to deal with early game, so steer clear of them if you must.

How to Play the Warrior

Focus on Landing Charge Attacks

Charge attacks are the bread-and-butter damage-dealing method of the Warrior. To deal consistent damage, a Warrior must always charge their attacks (and make sure they hit!).

To charge an attack, simply hold the corresponding button of the attack slash. It has a similar gameplay to the Great Sword from the Monster Hunter series.

Block Enemy Attacks by Charging Attacks

The main strategy of a Warrior is to soak up damage while charging an attack, then unleash a counterattack. Because of the Bulwark core skill, Warriors have received reduced damage when charging an attack. After the attack string of the enemy is done, make sure to aim and land that devastating blow!

Bring Anti-Aerial Pawns to Deal with Flying Enemies

Though the Warrior has tools to deal with flying enemies, the attack distance is too narrow for it to reliably hit. We suggest to have an Archer or Thief in your party of Pawns to deal with the pesky flying enemies.

Why so high on Warrior as a hired pawn? What makes them your default recommendation if not Arisen or Main Pawn.
