The following quests take place in the postgame after completing the Legacy main quest and talking to the Pathfinder during the credits sequence.

This will take you to the Unmoored World where you'll have to contend with stronger enemies and a world that's falling apart to reach the game's true ending.

Create your Character and leave the Excavation Site.
┗ Folow Justin to the Borderwatch Outpost and create your Main Pawn.
┣ Go to Melve to find Lennart and Gregor.
┗ Accompany Gregor to Vernworth.
┗ Defeat the Cyclops blocking your way to Vernworth.
┣ Talk to Captain Brant at the Stardrop Inn during the night.
Lie to the guard that's chasing Sven outside the tavern.
 ┣ Find a smithy in Vernworth for the Vermundian Smithing Style.
 ┗ Talk to Glyndwr (Starts Gift of the Bow)
  ┣ Complete A Trial of Archery to get a Portcrystal.
  ┗ Reach Sacred Arbor (Access the Elven Smithing Style).
┣ Go inside the Castle Offices in Vernworth Castle and collect the Torn Letter.
 ┣ Get the Marcher's Set (Marcher's Helm, Marcher's Armor, and Marcher's Cuisses) inside the chest within the Guardhouse.
 ┗ Return to Melve to start the Readvent of Calamity quest.
  ┣ Repel the Dragon attacking Melve.
  ┗ Talk to Sigurd (Unlocks Mystic Spearhand Vocation)
┣ Rid Trevo Mines of Goblins.
 ┗ Finish Vocation Frustration (Unlocks the Warrior and Sorcerer vocations)
┣ Rescue the soldiers in Harve Village from Saurians.
 ┣ Activate the Portcrystal in Harve Village.
 ┗ Start the Scaly Invaders side quest.
  ┗ Start Trouble on the Cape to start Ulrika Romance side quests.
┗ Provide aid to the soldiers from monster attacks in the Eastern Forest, northeast of Vernworth.
┣ Go to the Vernworth Castle Gaol Tower.
┗ Finish The Heel of History to convince the magistrate to escape.
┣ Find the Nameless Village Depths and overcome the traps and obstacles.
┗ Obtain the Bill of Arrest for Darragh from Srail.
 ┗ Speak to Thief-Maister Flaud to get the Blades of the Pyre weapon skill.
┣ Attend the masquerade equipped with the Courtly Tunic, Courtly Breeches, and the Eventide Mask.
┗ Follow the False Sovran through the Hidden Passage.
┣ Go inside Vernworth Castle equipped with the Marcher's Set.
┗ Enter Allard's Chambers and collect the Battahli-Crested Letter.
 ┗ Jump through the window from Allard's chambers. (Triggers a cutscene to unlock Romancing Wilhelmina).
┗ Equip your Courtly Attires and speak with Captain Brant.
Warning: Completing this quest will lock you out from the quests leading to Romancing Ulrika.
┣ Pass the border between Vermund and Battahl in Checkpoint Rest Town.
 ┣ There's a Portcrystal in a Griffin's Nest inside the Misty Marshes that you can stop by before going to the Checkpoint Rest Town.
 ┗ Acquire a Beastren Mask (if you're human) from Ibrahim's Scrap Store in Checkpoint Rest Town.
┗ Go to Rockmouse's Burrow outside Bakbattahl and talk to Manella.
 ┣ Place the Portcrystal in Bakbattahl for easier travel.
 ┣ Find a smithy in Bakbattahl for the Battahli Smithing Style.
 ┗ Start Dulled Steel, Cold Forge (Gain access to Dwarven Smithing Style early)
  ┗ Roman can be found in the Noble Quarter of Vernworth.
┣ Collect blue shards for Ambrosius after saving him from monsters at Olta'Battahl Coast.
┣ Talk to the Dragonforged in Bay Waywide Shrine. (Unlocks Strengthen in Wyrmfire)
┣ Talk to Luz in the Reverent Shrine. (Unlock the Trickster Vocation)
┗ Talk to the Rivage Elder in Harve Village.
┗ Enter the ruins in Stormwind Cave and talk to Rothais and receive the Dulled Godsbane Blade.
┗ Gather Wrymslife Crystals to receive the Empower Godsbane from Ambrosius.
Warning: Completing this quest locks you out from completing numerous quests.
┣ Pursue Phaesus alongside the Gigantus through Agamen Volcanic Island.
┗ Prepare for the final fight and go to Moonglint Tower afterwards.
 ┣ Unlock the Agamen Volcanic Island region.
 ┣ Complete Put a Spring in Thy Step. (Unlocks the Magick Archer vocation and gains access to another smithy for the Dwarven Smithing Style)
 ┗ Complete The Sotted Sage. (Unlocks the Warfarer vocation)
Warning: Entering the Moonglint Tower is deemed as a Point of No Return.
┣ Defeat the impostor and his pawns.
┣ Choose between sacrificing your beloved (bad ending) or defeating the Dragon (good ending).
┗ Deafeat the Dragon, talk to the Pathfinder, and wield the Godsbane Blade to get the True Ending.

1 Gaoled Awakening
Dragon
Create your Character and leave the Excavation Site after fending off the beast.
2 Tale's Beginning
Dragon
Follow Justinn to the Borderwatch Outpost and start creating your Main Pawn. Sleep at the inn afterwards to save your progress.
3 In Dragon's Wake
Dragon
Go to Melve to find Lennart, and know more about vocations. Find Gregor and accompany him to Vernworth.
4 One-Eyed Interloper
Dragon
Defeat the Cyclops blocking the path to Vernworth. Choose to go with Gregor afterwards to quickly get to the capital.
5 Seat of the Sovran
Dragon
Speak to Captain Brant in the tavern during nighttime.

6 Disa's Plot
Jadeite Orb
Enter Vernworth Castle through the Guardhouse and equip the Marcher Set from the chest, which includes the Marcher's Helm, Marcher's Armor, and Marcher's Cuisses.

Go to the Castle Offices on the second floor of the castle and collect the Torn Letter.
7 Monster Culling
Dragon
Travel to Trevo Mines and rid it of the goblins occupying the cave.

Rescue soldiers from monsters in Harve Village, found southwest of Vernworth, and the Eastern Forest, located northeast of Vernworth.
8 The Caged Magistrate
Dragon
Go to the Vernworth Castle Gaol Tower and talk to Waldhar in the prison cell. Complete The Heel of History quest to convince the magistrate to escape.
9 The Nameless Village
Dragon
Find the Nameless Village Depths near the Old Manor and overcome the traps and obstacles. Obtain the Bill of Arrest for Darragh from Srail.

Speak to Thief-Maister Flaud to get the Blades of the Pyre weapon skill.
10 The Stolen Throne
Dragon
Equip a Courtly Attire (Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches), along with the Eventide Mask, and attend the masquerade.

Go through the Hidden Passage and follow the path outside until you reach a balcony leading to the Rose Chateau Borderlie, owned by Wilhelmina.

11 An Unsettling Encounter
Dragon
Go inside Vernworth Castle equipped with the Marcher's Set. Enter Allard's Chambers and find the hidden passage within the room. Collect the Battahli-Crested Letter and flee the castle.
12 Feast of Deception
Dragon
Equip the Courtly Attire that was previously worn during the masquerade event, and talk to Grant.
13 Nation of the Lambent Flame
DragonGo to Checkpoint Rest Town and pass through the border between Vermund and Battahl. Reach Rockmouse's Burrow and speak to Ser Menella.
14 Flickering Shadows
Dragon
Rescue Ambrosius from a Griffin at the Olta'Battahl Coast, and collect blue shards for him afterwards.

Speak with the Dragonforged in Bay Waywide Shrine, then with Luz at the Reverent Shrine to kow more about the godsway.

Go to Harve Village and talk to the Rivage Elder near Stormwind Cave to end the quest.
15 Convergence
Dragon
Head inside Stormwind Cave and explore the seafloor shrine. Talk to Rothais and receive the Dulled Godsbane Blade from him.
16 A New Godsway
Dragon
Go to the Flamebearer Palace and speak with Ambrosius, as he requests 15 wyrmslife crystals. Return to him and hand him the items.

Ambrosius will attempt to take the blade, but the Pathfinder will stop him, and you'll receive the Empowered Godsbane, which will urge you to go to Moonglint Tower.
17 The Guardian Gigantus
Dragon
Pursue Phaesus alongside the Gigantus through Agamen Volcanic Island and eventually into Moonglint Tower.

When you reach the excavation site, make sure to rest up as the final battle will happen soon and this will be the last inn.
18 Legacy
Dragon Defeat the imposter and his pawns. You'll then have to face the Dragon that stole your heart in the beginning of the game and offer you two choices: Sacrifice your beloved or Defeat the Dragon.

If you choose to sacrifice your beloved in exchange for wealth and power, simply walk away to get the bad ending.

To get the good ending, you'll need to defeat the Dragon. Announce your intention by walking up to it and attacking him.

How Long is the Story?

20-30 Hours to Beat the Main Story

Completing the main story may take 20 to 30 hours to complete due to the game's larger size. Completing the whole game and all its optional quests may require more than 80 Hours to complete.

Unlocks New Game Plus

Dragon

Beating the main story of Dragon's Dogma 2 unlocks New Game Plus (NG+), which lets you replay the story from the beginning, but you'll get to keep your Arisen's level, gold, items, weapons, and armor!

New Game Plus Guide

Unique Equipment and Items

Dragon

Completing certain quests reward unique equipment and items that you can't purchase from shops. Collect and these to further elevate the power of both your Arisen and Pawn!

XP and Gold

Main quests give a remarkable amount of XP and gold upon completion. If you're eager to power up your character, one of your safest bet is to take on main quests as soon as you can.

Access to New Areas

Dragon
Completion of some main quests will grant you more grant you access to new areas in the open world. Along with these new areas come new NPCs to meet and side quest to take on.
