Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2)

New Game Plus Changes and Everything That Carries Over

Dragon

New Game Plus (NG+) lets you replay the story with most progress carried over after beating Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2). See what carries over from New Game Plus and how to unlock New Game Plus in this guide!

Everything That Carries Over to New Game Plus

Carries Over Does Not Carry Over
✔︎ Arisen's Level
✔︎ Accumulated Gold
✔︎ Weapons and Armor
✔︎ Items
✔︎ Map Progression
✔︎ Main Pawn
✖︎ Quest Progression
✖︎ Hired Pawns
✖︎ Portcrystal Access

What Carries Over to New Game Plus?

  • The Arisen's Level
  • Items, Weapons, and Armor
  • Accumulated Gold
  • Map Progression
  • Main Pawn

New Game Plus (NG+) lets you carry over your possessions such as weapons, armor, items, and accumulated wealth. Other than your Arisen's belongings, their current level, as well as main pawn and map progression will also get transferred over.

What Doesn't Carry Over to New Game Plus?

  • Main Quest progression
  • Side Quest progression
  • Hired Pawns
  • Portcrystal Access

The only exclusions to New Game Plus would be Quest progression, hired pawns, and access to the previously unlocked Portcrystals. This means you'll have to progress the main story again to unlock all side quests, have to reach and unlock different Portcrystals again, and you'll have to recruit additional pawns for your party again.

To add to this, unlocking all those side quests again may be a good thing as it allows you another chance to do quests that you may have missed or redo quests that you let be affected by time during your first playthrough.
