How to Start Dulled Steel Cold Forge

Speak with Roman After Seat of the Sovran

Dragon

Dulled Steel Cold Forge can be unlocked some time after finishing Seat of the Sovran.

Once you've completed this quest, head for The Royal Quarter in Vernworth Castle and you'll be stopped by a guard named Roman. Talk and follow him to the Fountain Garden to receive a Regalia Sword — one of the kingdom's treasures.

Dulled Steel Cold Forge begins in the Royal Quarter in Vernworth Castle.

How to Complete Dulled Steel Cold Forge

  1. Speak with Sara in Battahl
  2. Obtain Fifteen Glimmercoals
  3. Return to Sara

Speak with Sara in Battahl

Dragon

Head to Brokkr's Smithy and speak with the blacksmith's apprentice, Sara, who will be willing to repair the sword for you.

Wait for Brokkr to leave his shop, then talk to Sara again so you and her can start work on the Regalia Sword.

Obtain Fifteen Glimmercoals

Dragon

You can find Glimmercoals at Digger's Ruins, a cavern southwest of Bakbattahl. There is an abundance of Glimmercoals there, but be prepared to fight the slimes and goblins that inhabit the cavern.

True to its name, Gimmercoal glows in the dark. We recommend turning your lantern off once you're inside the cavern so you can see Glimmercoal easily. This resource glows green, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Return to Sara

Dragon

Once you have fifteen or more Glimmercoals, head back to Brokkr's Smithy and deliver the materials to Sara.
