    when i did it i went to the fortune teller and it told me to revive him but i didn't somebody try and then comment what happens.

    When meeting with Brant, you can tell him "I'll have any aid you can give," and you won't be chased by the guards after you jump out the window. He will meet you and help you escape. After he will complain about your involvement in the assassination but as far as I know it does not have any negative impact afterwards.
