Call of the Spear Update 1.10.0

Update 1.10.0 came out on Thursday, December 4. 2024. The update included a new weapon among other new content and improvements.

December Updates

New Weapon: Spear

A Combination of Range and Melee

The spear is Throne and Liberty's (TL) 8th weapon, to be released on December 5. It is a fire-attribute melee weapon that gives the user range through throwing and poking mechanics. With the presence and strength of ranged weapons in the meta, the Spear is designed to give melee players an option against these weapons.

This weapon benefits Tank and DPS players. It is designed to provide a source of engage and pad out skill rotations with fast combos.

New Guardian and Codex Quests

The arrival of the Spear will bring along a new NPC, Guardian, and Codex Quests related to the weapon as well.

New Rune System

Arriving on December 5, the Rune System is another mode of endgame progression. Dropped from Rune Chance Chests, these can be slotted into certain Epic Weapons and Accessories to gain stat bonuses. Slotting in an Attack (Red), Defense (Blue), and Support (Yellow) rune will allow players to gain extra stat bonuses.

A New 2 Star Dungeon

Four 2 Star Dungeons were added in the 1.8.0 Update on November 21, which challenge experienced players to harder variations of existing bosses and entirely new bosses. An additional, brand new 2 Star Dungeon will release in the December 5 update.

Dimensional Trials

Dimensional Trials offer different tiers of varying difficulties that players can choose to attempt. The dungeon enemies and bosses will get stronger and harder to defeat the higher the tier you select. Dimensional Trials do not require any consummables for entry or completion, allowing players to continously repeat the dungeons as they see fit. Dimensional Trials will be available on December 5.

War Games

Also coming on December 5, the War Games feature will allow players to create custom lobbies for Conquest Battles. The lobbies allow for cross server play in both public and private matches, and customization in regards to number of players and teams, battle duration, and choosing between Riftstone or Boonstone. You may also opt to spectate these matches if you do not wish to participate in them.

As War Games are made public, these events will not have rewards associated with them. This is done with the intention to position War Games as a casual PvP mode for players to limit test their builds.

Winter Event

Similar to the Haunted Harvest event, Throne and Liberty will host a Winter Event starting December 12. No other information has been shared about the event as of writing, except for the promise of more event-themed gifts and rewards.
