Unlock Portal to Miquella's Haligtree by Lighting Four Statues

Ordina Statues Puzzle.png

In order to unlock the portal to Miquella's Haligtree, you'll first need to complete a puzzle in Ordina, Liturgical Town by lighting the candles of four statues around town.

First, step on the Evergaol portal next to the Imp statue to transport you to the Evergaol version of Ordina, Liturgical Town. Then, it's time to find the four statues.

Statue Locations

  1. In the center of town, face north to find the first statue.
  2. Look for a building on the west end of town with a ladder. Climb the ladder to find the second statue.
  3. The third statue is between the first and second. Check to the right of the steps leading back to the first statue to find a ladder just on the other side of the low wall. Climb the ladder to find statue three.
  4. From the roof of the third statue, walk across the catwalk to the next building, then jump from roof to roof straight across the buildings, avoiding the arrows that come your way. Climb up the ladder on the second building to light the fourth statue.

Once all four statues have been lit, head up the large staircase and you'll notice the seal has been removed, allowing access to the portal and Miquella's Haligtree.

Ordina Evergaol Enemies

Albinauric Archers

Ordina Archers.png

Ordina has 2 types of enemies, both of which cannot be seen until the Evergaol is entered. The first generation Albinauric Archers can be found on the rooftops and fire a rapid volley of arrows that deal a lot of damage.

Fortunately, some areas on the roofs provide cover as you make your way towards the statues. These archers are weak to Status Effects, so if you have any arrows that inflict them, you can try sniping them from your own position.

They also have a lot of HP, but have low Poise, so if you manage to close the gap on one, keep attacking them repeatedly so they can't fire any arrows. Be careful, however, that you don't fall off the roof!

Black Knife Assassins

Your enemies on the ground are the invisible Black Knife Assassins. These enemies cannot be seen normally and requires the use of the Sentry's Torch, which can be purchased from the Hermit Merchant at the Capital Outskirts in Altus Plateau.

While you can fight them, they deal a lot of damage as well and have a grab attack that can one-shot you if you have low Vigor. They're also extremely slippery and can dodge well. It's recommended to just run past them and head for the statues.

If you do choose to fight them, they do not respawn and will drop a Ghost Glovewort 9 each. There are 4 of them in total that can be found in the town.

Obtaining the Black Knife Set

Found Under the Bridge

Black Knife Set.png

The Black Knife set can be found under the bridge at the back of the town and can be obtained before entering the Evergaol. The chest piece of the set will muffle your footsteps, making it easier to sneak around. However, it needs to be unaltered because the cape provides this effect.

The rest of the set consists of the Black Knife Hood, Black Knife Gauntlets, and Black Knife Greaves.
