How to Start A Trial of Archery

Talk to Glyndwr After Completing Gift of the Bow

Dragon

After completing the Gift of the Bow quest, let a couple of days pass by, and you should see Glyndwr standing in front of Roderick's Smithy again. Talk to him, and he'll tell you about the upcoming trial he wants to participate in.

A Trial of Archery starts at the Merchant Quarter in Vernworth.

How to Complete A Trial of Archery

  1. Meet with Glyndwr
  2. Go to the Sacred Arbor
  3. Go to the Ancestral Chamber
  4. Find and Rescue Doireann
  5. Carry Doireann Out
  6. Speak with Taliesin

Meet with Glyndwr

Go to a campsite marked on the map, southwest of Melve, and meet with Glyndwr. Let him guide you to his village, Sacred Harbor.

Note: This quest doesn't require you to stick to a specific vocation, unlike in the previous quest, Gift of the Bow, where it's required to equip the Archer vocation to proceed.

Go to the Sacred Arbor

Dragon

Escort Glyndwr to his village while defeating monsters left and right. The path you'll be taking towards your destination is littered with different monsters, so be sure you're well-equipped with curatives to be ready for anything!

If you want to avoid enemies as much as possible, try not to get their attention, as this will also make Glyndwr attack them. Be wary of of the area west of the camp where you meet Glyndwr, as there is a chimera roaming there!

Go to the Ancestral Chamber

Accompany Glyndwr to the ancestral chamber near Arbor Bridge, east of the Sacred Harbor, to find and rescue Doireann, his sister.

Find and Rescue Doireann

Set forth to the ancestral chamber to find and rescue Doireann. Be careful, as there are also a ton of monsters inside! It's best to eliminate all of the monsters here so you'll have a safer passage when carrying Doireann out of the area.

Carry Doireann Out

Dragon

Carry Doireann by pressing the Grab button and take her out of the place. Glyndwr will open up a path to create a shortcut to the outside if you defeat the ogre first.

There is no need to fight the ogre to complete the quest, but if you avoid the fight, you'll have to carry Doireann all the way back to the ancestral chamber's entrance.

Speak with Taliesin

Dragon

Speak with Taliesin outside the ancestral chamber as you exit it using the path created by Glyndwr. He'll reward you for saving his daughter, and this completes the quest.
