How to Start A Veil of Gossamer Clouds
Talk to Sven in His Chambers
Talk to Sven in his chamber after getting the Beastren Border Entry Permit from Brant and completing the quests Feast of Deception and Masked Correspondence.

A Veil of Gossamer Clouds begins at Sven's Chambers in Vernworth Castle.
How to Complete A Veil of Gossamer Clouds
- Go to Checkpoint Rest Town
- Acquire a Beastren Mask
- Cross the Vermund-Battahl Border
- Deliver the Letter to Phaesus
Go to Checkpoint Rest Town
Checkpoint Rest Town is located in the far west of Vernworth. You can pay to travel by oxcart in the West Vernworth Oxcart Station to quickly travel to the town.
Be prepared for raids along the way, where you'll need to clear the path from enemies to continue.
Acquire a Beastren Mask
If your character is a Beastren, you may skip this step.
Otherwise, you'll need to purchase a Beastren Mask from the Ibrahim's Scrap Store for 8700G. Equip it to temporarily change your appearance into a Beastren.
Cross the Vermund-Battahl Border
Follow the quest marker and give the guard the Beastren Border Entry Permit you received from Captain Brant. You'll then be granted entry into the Border Checkpoint.
Deliver the Letter to Phaesus
Follow the quest marker again and head to the Forbidden Magick Research Lab.
Pick up the Letter to Lord Phaesus from the table and give it to Sven in Vernworth to complete the quest.
