Dark Moon Greatsword Location

Obtained at the End of Ranni's Questline

Obtained by completing Ranni's questline. Once you reach the Moonlight Altar, meet Ranni in the tunnels beneath the Cathedral of Manus Celes to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword.

Ranni the Witch Quest and Location

How to Get Dark Moon Greatsword
1	Obtaining the Dark Moon Greatsword first requires you to complete Ranni the Witch's entire questline. Progress through her quest until you beat the Baleful Shadow and reach the Lake of Rot.
2	Use the Discarded Palace Key dropped by the Baleful Shadow to obtain the Dark Moon Ring from the locked chest in Rennala's boss room in the Academy of Raya Lucaria.
3	To get to the Cathedral of Manus Celes, you must head to the very end of the Lake of Rot and get inside the coffin at the Grand Cloister. Doing this will take you to a secluded region south of Ainsel River.
4	In this new region, you will have to fight Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. After defeating the boss, the seal leading to the Moonlight Altar should vanish because you have the Dark Moon Ring. Ride the Deep Ainsel Well elevator north of Astel's boss room to gain access to the Moonlight Altar.
5	Once at the Moonlight Altar, head northeast up the hill to reach the Cathedral of Manus Celes. Jump down into the hole inside the cathedral and traverse the path until you find Ranni, at the end of her questline, ready to bestow upon you the Dark Moon Greatsword.
