How to Unlock Set Sail! Pro Angler!

Unlocks Automatically During the Event

You can access the Set Sail! Pro Angler! quest starting at February 13, 2025! All you have to do is head to the Events page, and press Go on the Old Man and the Whale event! It will show you the location of the quest so be sure to head there to start!

This is a quest from a permanent event, with limited-time rewards, so you can finish this at anytime!

Do Silent as a Falling Leaf for Better Experience

Note that it is recommended by the game for players to finish the Silent as a Falling Leaf quest first before starting the Old Man and the Whale event! This is optional as you can start the event regardless!

Set Sail! Pro Angler! Walkthrough

Find the Fisherman

Head to the Rinascita-Ragunna City Square, and rush to the north docks where you'll find Ishmael, the fisherman. He is sitting down, and catching some fishes next to some stripped poles.

Afterwards, talk to the Gondolier, who's just behind you to head to Riccioli Islands. He is wearing gray jumpers and googles.

Search for the Old Captain, Ahab

Once you arrive, you have to look for Ahab. He is fishing next to a Lottie Lost and Diggy Duggy, at the docks of Riccioli Island.

After a long talk with Ahab, you will be teleported in front of an Octopus named Planck. Talk to him as well to proceed.

Complete Ahab’s Fishing Request

You must complete Ahab's fishing quest reqest which is to catch one Octopus Clam. Follow the quest tracker to find the right fishing spot! It should be near some pink corals.

Catch an Octopus Clam

This is also the moment the game teaches you how to fish! Be sure to press your fishing button when the arrow passes over either the orange or yellow bars to further your fishing progress! Pressing it at the wrong time will lower your fishing progress.

Fit the Octopus Clam in the Cargo

Once you catch some Octopus Clams, put them in the cargo! If you don't, they will be discarded.

Deliver Your Catch at the Docks

Head back to the docks. Click on your fishing requests at the upper left, then click deliver to proceed!

Complete Ahab’s Request: Big Catch

The next fishing request is to deliver one Dumbo Octopus. However, you need to unlock the Advanced Hull ability to do this!

Unlock Advanced Hull

Click on Check Required Ability at the bottom right. It will take you to the Fishing Abilities page where you can upgrade Advanced Hull to Lv. 1!

Once you're done, set sail for the Dumbo Octopus which you should be able to access now!

Catch a Dumbo Octopus

Press your fishing button at the right time and you should be able to get multiple Dumbo Octopuses! Be sure to arrange them in a way that they'll all fit your cargo and deliver them at the docks! This should raise your fame to Lv. 2!

Visit the Market in Riccioli Port

Talk to Ahab, who's at the docks. He recommends you to go to the market where you can sell your fishes!

When you head to the market, you notice a crowd has formed with Phoebe caught in the middle. Talk to to her to find out what's going on. The quest should finish after a long talk with the Riccioli citizens, Ahab and Phoebe!
