Best Character Build (Trial)

Baizhi	Dreamless

Difficulty V is pretty hard, so if you have a built DPS character that is not part of the Trial characters please use them. If you have better limited DPS units like Jinhsi, Changli, or Jiyan - much better.

Character Upgrades

You will always have 1 Character Upgrade every run, and you can get more through Memory of Training.

Choose Dual Efficacy as Baizhi's first upgrade so she can deal damage throughout this run. Remember that Baizhi is a support-healer by defaul, so she will rely on both the damaging powers of the Dreamless and her concerto characters for damage.

Follow this up with Aggressive Strategy and Variable Substitution if ever you do decide to take Memory of Training doors.

Concerto Characters

Character	Explanation
Verina	Verina can keep you alive during mob and boss fights. Use her especially when you have the Heart of Glacio and Red Needle Metaphors equipped.
Sanhua	Sanhua will be your extra damage if you have concerto energy to spare and you do not need healing. Her damage is also not bad, so always use her if you do not need healing from Verina.

Adjust Your Nightmare Memes

Though Nightmare memes will significantly increase your drop rates, it will make the stage harder as well. We suggest adjusting your Nightmare memes to fit your capabilities as the main goal is to finish this stage. You can even get some Reverie Memes to give you buffs!

There is no harm and shame in adjusting your difficulty since you can always repeat this stage if you need more Illusive Specimens.

Focus on Using Up 4 Stacks of Forte

To maximize Baizhi's damage, it is recommended that you consume her Forte only if you have the full 4 stacks. This maximizes the Dual Efficacy effect by generating 2 Awls instead of 1.

Break Shining Pool Floaters

In the new stage maps introduced in Version 1.2, there are shining pool floaters that looks suspiciously different than the other items in the stage. When you see one, always break these shiny floaters because they would reward you with Dream Fragments!

Experiment With Your Own Playstyle

This is just a general guide that can help most players beat Difficulty 5 of the Depths of Illusive Realm. Since this is a rogue-lite game mode, there may be other builds that are stronger or better suited to your playstyle.

Best Echoes to Use for Depths of Illusive Realm 5

Best Echo for the Recommended Character

Characters	Recommended Echo
Baizhi	Dreamless ・Dreamless automatically cast Intro Skills from your concerto characters for damage. ・Deal damage with Dreamless as well, increased by Aero metaphors. ・Heal the whole party and survive with Baizhi. Still, avoid attacks by evading properly.

Best Echoes for Trial Characters

Yuanwu	Dreamless ・Dreamless automatically cast Intro Skills from your concerto characters for damage. That and this echo will also be your main source of damage.
Danjin Sanhua	Bell-Borne Geochelone ・Provides survivability to DPS-centric characters. Make sure to get metaphors that increases Resonance Skills via the Electro metaphor set.

If the recommended Echoes above did not show up in your run, simply quit the challenge and start another run of Difficulty 5. Repeat this proccess until the suggested Echo appears.
