Complete Old Man and the Whale
I Alone Survived is the next quest that automatically unlocks after completing Old Man and the Whale, and serves as the epilogue to the entire event's story.

Locate Bouton de Rose
Find the Gondola Bouton de Rose at the northern part of Port of Riccioli, off to a small dock where the Pequod is anchored. She has a lot of wares for sale including Malleable Elite Echoes, and Weapon ascension materials some of which will reset weekly every Monday, 4:00AM at your designated server time.
Increase Your Fame to Level 10 or Above
If you haven't increased your Fame to Level 10 yet before this objective, be sure to take on any Priority Requests that are left in your Fishing Request log at the Docks as they give a hefty sum of 500 Fame each upon completion!
Once those are depleted and you still have not reached Level 10 Fame, accomplish Common Requests until you reach the desired level. Although, they will only give a fixed rate of 200 Fame for each request.
Find Ishmael in Riccioli Port
After reaching Level 10 Fame, walk toward Ishmael's location northeast from the island's only Resonance Beacon and speak to him.
He remarks the oddity of Captain Ahab and the rest of his crew disappearing after the Rover's involvement with The Tidebreaker, and pushes you to further your sailing experience and seek the answers to the crew's disappearance.
Increase Your Fame to Level 12

With Priority Requests depleted, your main Fame source will be Common Requests, granting 200 Fame each. Reaching Level 11 requires about 16 Common Requests, but this can be reduced if you complete a daily Premium Request or catch Legendary Fish, which award 100 Fame per first-time catch.
Reach Level 12 by Doing Common Requests
To reach Level 12, you'll need around 17 Common Requests, but upgrades like Trawl and Wonder Bubble can passively catch fish to speed up progress.
Bait and the Sweet Puff Tube help by spawning multiple fishing spots and auto-collecting specific fish. Additionally, your Fishing Index will passively fill as you complete requests, further boosting your Fame!
Speak to Ishmael Once Again
Once your Fame has reached Level 12, talk to Ishmael again at the northeastern part of Riccioli Port.
He will then reveal to you that Ahab and his crew have already perished at sea long ago, but now that the waters around Riccioli island are calmer, their souls can finally find peace. The quest concludes after your conversation as the Rover takes on Captain Ahab's legacy!
