How to Unlock Boundary of Deduction
Complete Chapter 1 Act 8: To the Shore's End
Boundary of Deduction becomes available after completing Chapter 1 Act 8: To the Shore's End. However, players must find the correct NPC in the Black Shores to trigger this quest.

Fast Travel to Error Cell
To find this quest, first fast travel to the Error Cell in the Tethys' Deep of the Black Shores.
Look for KU-Repair
Afterwards, go inside the Error Cell and go up the stars to the second floor. From there, turn right until you see a black robot named KU-Repair. Talk to him to officially trigger the quest.
Deactivate security measures
As soon as you enter the room, the security measures will begin counting down after sensing an intruder. Quickly go to the back of the room and find a glimmering node on top of a box. Investigating it will switch off the security measures, and the countdown will stop.
Inspect the info tablet
Interact with the info tablet that is placed in the first table at the center of the room, the closest facing the entrance.
Enter the portal
After reading the two documents within the info table, a Data Wall with a portal will spawn at the end of the room. Go through to enter the mysterious room.
Restore both rooms to the same state
The quest mission does not look intuitive at first, but the goal is to match the the state of both rooms. To do this, you have to turn off a set number of computers in the central tables, matching the pattern properly.

Keep turning off the last PC
When you get to the last PC, you have to switch it of a number of times. The option goes as following:

・Turn off ・Press "Turn off" again ・Press "Turn off" harder ・Press "Turn off" one last time |
Defeat the Tacet Discord
Turning the PC off for the third time (Press “Turn off” harder) will result in a Chasm Guardian spawning out of nowhere. Defeating that Tacet Discord will let you turn off the PC for the fourth and final time.
Proceed to the backup analysis room
After matching the room states of both the Analysis room and the backup Analysis room, enter the portal again into the backup Analysis room.
Talk to the person outside the room
Go to the back of the room and near the entrance. The door will open with a person right outside. Talk to them to finish the Side Quest!
