You can buy a round for the hall from Maeve at the Tub & Crown, found within the Hideaway, for 10,000 Gil. Nothing special happens other than earning the Eureka trophy when you spend 36,000 Gil there and people at the ale hall cheering as they get their free drinks courtesy of you.

You'll earn the Eureka trophy when you've spent 36,000 Gil at the Tub & Crown. You can order a drink for yourself for 500 Gil and buy a round for the hall for 10,000 Gil.

For the fastest way to earn the trophy, simply buy a round for the hall four times. If you don't want to lose gil, save before spending the amount and then reload once you've earned the trophy.
