Final Fantasy 16 director Hiroshi Takai and Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida said in an interview that there are no plans for a DLC for FF16.

While there are no current plans for a DLC, Yoshida and the team is still considering it in the future, depending on how well the game will do after its release.

It's safe to hope for a DLC in the long-term; you never know what these developers have up their sleeves! For now, let's just stay tuned for any updates and enjoy the full game that was released last June 22, 2023!

FF16 - Leviathan Ambition Trailer

The Ambition trailer showed off a serpentine creature that resembles Leviathan the Lost, who is usually associated with the element of Water. The Circle of Malius also portrays a sketch of the Leviathan alongside other Eikons, so it's confirmed that it exists in the game's story but plays no vital role.

Future DLCs may have the Leviathan take on a more pivotal role, revealing its Eikonic powers as well as its history and background.
