Final Fantasy 16 (FF16)'s demo save progress carries over to the base game. Read on to learn how to transfer demo progress, what carries over to the base game, and the contents of the demo!

The game will automatically recognize the saved data from the demo. Simply select Continue or Load Game in the title menu to continue where you left off in the demo.
If you don't want to continue your progress, you can always select the New Game to start from the very beginning!
All main quest data made from the demo, including autosaves and player saves, are carried over to the main game, allowing players to continue where they left off in the prologue demo. This makes it a good way to try the game before purchasing it.
Note that completed demo data cannot be loaded in the demo version since this continues in the full game. You can still create and play any save files made before this point.

The demo contains the first two hours of the game, spanning the first three chapters. Any autosaves and player saves made here will carry over to the full game.
Main Quests and Story Walkthrough
Completing the Prologue in the demo version unlocks a special battle demo where you can use more Eikonic abilities with Clive!
However, the progress that you will make in this particular extra content won't be carried over to the full game.
Players can download the Final Fantasy 16 demo through the PlayStation Store.
This can be done by accessing the PlayStation Store through their PlayStation 5 and searching for Final Fantasy XVI. From there, an option to download the demo will be available and can be booted up immediately after the download finishes. Make sure to reserve at least 18.6 GB of storage.
