The Necrophobe has access to a variety of elemental spells which include ice, fire, dark, and lightning which he'll all utilize against you for the majority of the battle.
For the first phase of the fight, he'll be launching basic magic attacks at you that you can easily dodge as he'll be entering a windup animation first before casting it. You can determine which elements he'll be using based on the color of the spell as he charges it up.
| Color (Element) | Effect |
|---|---|
| Blue (Ice) | Launches a single ice projectile |
| Purple (Dark) | Launches multiple dark orbs |
| Red (Fire) | Launches a single fireball attack |
| White (Lightning) | Cleaves a Lightning-emitted Sword |
Once Elemental Dissonance is activated, the boss will mainly be using Blizzaga and Firaga spell abilities to attack you.
You can evade Blizzaga by dodging sideways to avoid the ice beams, and Firaga by dashing away from the fireballs circling around him.
The Dualcast: Blizzaga has the Necrophobe fire two consecutive ice beams at you, so you'll have to dodge again on the succeeding beam as it will automatically lock on to you after the first one.
After this he'll use Dualcast: Firaga to summon two sets of fireballs that rotate around him so you'll have to dash away twice again in order to not get caught in it.
Towards the end of the fight, he'll be using stronger versions of these spells which he'll use in one combo.
First he'll cast out ”Enfiraga” which sees the Necrophobe slashing his sword at you with flames on it. Followed by an AoE attack known as ”Enblizzaga”, where icicles will emerge from the ground within his vicinity. Finally, he'll spawn several lightning bolts in the battle zone during ”Enthundaga” which detonates after a short period of time.
After reducing his HP to 50%, the Necrophobe will begin charging up Dark Energies and you'll be instantly KO'd if you fail to deal a certain amount of damage to him within the timeframe given.
Use Limit Break to increase damage plus DPS to your basic attacks and abilities, then spam your combos to quickly reduce the purple gauge bar found on the top right of your screen.
