Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) - Version 1.03 Update

Contents of Update 1.03

1 Added the following items to the System tab of the Main Menu:
Motion Blur Strength
Player Follow (Movement)
Player Follow (Attack)
2 Changes the maximum setting of the Camera Sensitivity (Horizontal) and Camera Sensitivity (Vertical) items from 10 to 20.
3 Adds three new controller layouts: types D, E, and F.
4 Corrects an issue that affected the stability of some menus.
5 Corrects some text issues.
6 Adds the hashtag #FF16 when sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter or YouTube.

Version 1.03 released on July 6, 2023, that added settings for a motion blur fix and camera controls during movement and combat.

The update aims to address concerns regarding motion blur and camera controls as they were a common complaint amongst players from the version 1.02 update.

How to Access the Motion Blur Slider

1 Press the Options button.
2 Go to the Systems tab.
2 Go to the Graphics Settings tab. The Motion Blur slider will be located under Game Performance.

Version 1.03 added a slider that gives the players an option to reduce Motion Blur or remove it completely. With this option, players can now enjoy the game with less motion sickness, giving them a chance to enjoy the sceneries of Valisthea even more!

How to Access Player Follow Settings

1 Press the Options button.
2 Go to the Systems tab.
2 Go to the Camera Settings tab. Player Follow (Movement and Attack) will be located at the very bottom of the list of settings

Version 1.03 also featured a setting called Player Follow for Movement and Attack. Turning these off will stop the camera from following Clive while moving or in combat.

Manual Update

①Press the Final Fantasy 16 icon.

②Select Check for Update.

If your game hasn't updated yet, you can manually check for updates from the PlayStation Home screen.

Automatic Update

Final Fantasy 16 - Auto Patch 1
①Select the Settings on the upper right corner.
Final Fantasy 16 - Auto Patch 2.
②Select Game Data and Game/App Settings.
Final Fantasy 16 - Auto Patch 3
③Turn on the Auto-Download setting.

Updates for FF16 should be enabled by default. In case they're disabled, follow the steps above to allow automatic downloads.
