In Stage Replay, you can also earn EXP from enemies but it is important to note that opponents will give fewer EXP. It is still helpful since this mode allows players to revisit cutscenes, collect missed items, earn EXP and Ability Points, and retry missed achievements.
Using the Hunt Board in Cid's Hideaway, each hunting quest from the board will lead you to different types of enemies. By completing these quest hunts, you can earn more experience points and rewards this way!
Hunt Board and Notorious Marks Guide
It's better to farm EXP in Final Fantasy mode on your New Game Plus (NG+) playthrough. EXP and AP you get from enemies are much higher than in your first playthrough. The level cap is increased from 50 to 100 in Final Fantasy mode, all the more reason to start the mode!
How to Unlock Final Fantasy Mode
Story Mode has enemies and opponents that are less difficult to fight. As they are easier to fight, you can make the most of this game mode by clearing multiple enemies for farming experience points.
Note that this is only effective during your first playthrough since starting Final Fantasy mode will lock you out from switching between Story or Action Focused.
Like other previous Final Fantasy titles, Final Fantasy 16 (FF16) has along with Main Quests and Side Quests. Clearing these will also help Clive gain more experience points as you progress through the game. As you unlock more locations, more quests will appear.
The max level is capped at 50 on your first playthrough. Clearing the Main Story unlocks Final Fantasy Mode which increases the Level Cap to 100.
