Defeat Enemies within the Area

FF16 - Fighting an Enemy
While exploring certain maps, you will find that there are many enemies lying in wait. As an extra bonus, enemies can also drop materials for crafting. Take the opportunity to clear these opponents so that Clive can earn more experience points!

In Stage Replay, you can also earn EXP from enemies but it is important to note that opponents will give fewer EXP. It is still helpful since this mode allows players to revisit cutscenes, collect missed items, earn EXP and Ability Points, and retry missed achievements.

Farm in Final Fantasy Mode

FF16 - Final Fantasy Mode

It's better to farm EXP in Final Fantasy mode on your New Game Plus (NG+) playthrough. EXP and AP you get from enemies are much higher than in your first playthrough. The level cap is increased from 50 to 100 in Final Fantasy mode, all the more reason to start the mode!

How to Unlock Final Fantasy Mode

Play in Story Focused Mode

FF16 - Select Story Focused Mode
Story Mode has enemies and opponents that are less difficult to fight. As they are easier to fight, you can make the most of this game mode by clearing multiple enemies for farming experience points.

Note that this is only effective during your first playthrough since starting Final Fantasy mode will lock you out from switching between Story or Action Focused.
