FF16 Available on PC and Xbox Series!
After a long wait, Final Fantasy XVI launched on the PC and Xbox Series X|S, expanding the number of players able to experience the latest mainline Final Fantasy game.
FF16 for PC launched on September 17, 2024 and on June 8, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S.
FF16 DLC 1 and 2 Now Available!
The official DLC packs for Final Fantasy XVI are now available on all platforms!
The first DLC pack, Echoes of the Fallen, sent Clive to delve through a long-abandoned Fallen tower called the Sagespire, ready to confront the terrible secrets within. It launched on PS5 on December 8, 2023 and was available alongside the PC and Xbox editions of the game.
The second DLC pack, The Rising Tide, debuted an entire new region called Mysidia, where Clive and his companions must seek out the long-lost Eikon of Water, Leviathan, and its Dominant. It launched on PS5 on April 18, 2024 and was sold alongside the PC and Xbox editions upon launch.

FF16 Now Available as of June 22, 2023!
Final Fantasy XVI, Square Enix's sixteenth installment of popular Final Fantasy series is now available to play as of June 22nd, 2023 exclusively on the PlayStation 5!
Release Date: When Does FF16 Come Out?
Demo Available on June 12th
It was announced during Square Enix's pre-release celebration livestream that the demo for Final Fantasy XVI releases on June 12th, 2023 and will feature the game's prologue, alongside a special battle section where players can experience the action combat of Clive with additional Eikonic Abilities and use gear such as Timely Accessories.
Note that a player's prologue demo save data can carry over to the base game, so demo progress won't be naught once the full game releases. However, do note that progress from the Eikonic Challenge mode of the demo does not carry over to the base game.

Pre-Orders Now Available
Physical and digital pre-orders for Final Fantasy XVI are now available across multiple storefronts and retailers.
Pre-ordering nets players various bonuses depending on their selected edition, which encourages players to pre-order their copies before it's too late - especially very scarce Collector's Edition, which is a Square Enix Store exclusive!

April 23 State of Play Footage
Square Enix presented Final Fantasy XVI on PlayStation's State of Play for the month of April 2023. The footage gave players a better understanding of the game's combat system, Eikons mechanic, exploration, Cid's Hideaway, and more!

Release Date Trailer
Square Enix announced the release date of Final Fantasy XVI on December 9th, 2022 on their official YouTube channel.
The release date trailer featured snippets of gameplay, lore, and served as a showcase of the game's graphics as it runs on the latest PlayStation hardware.
