Final Fantasy Mode | 160 AP |
This is the best enemy to farm AP in Final Fantasy mode!
Hyenas also give lots of ability points when defeated, and they also drop Goblin Coins that sell for 800 gil a piece! You'll get a total of 400 AP for defeating 5 Hyenas found near Ravenwit Walls without equipping accessories that increase AP received. This is for late game farming since you can access the location where they spawn during the late game.
Fast Travel to the nearest obelisk to respawn them, and keep on farming them until you're satisfied!

Hyena Location |
It's better to farm AP in Final Fantasy mode on your New Game Plus (NG+) playthrough. AP and EXP you get from enemies are much higher than in your first playthrough. If you do plan on upgrading and mastering your abilities, we recommend farming AP in Final Fantasy Mode.
How to Unlock Final Fantasy Mode
Story Focused Mode has enemies and opponents that are less difficult to fight. As they are easier to fight, you can make the most of this game mode by clearing multiple enemies for farming ability points.
Note that this is only effective during your first playthrough since starting Final Fantasy mode will lock you out from switching between Story or Action Focused.
