Farm in Final Fantasy Mode

FF16 - Final Fantasy Mode

It's better to farm AP in Final Fantasy mode on your New Game Plus (NG+) playthrough. AP and EXP you get from enemies are much higher than in your first playthrough. If you do plan on upgrading and mastering your abilities, we recommend farming AP in Final Fantasy Mode.

How to Unlock Final Fantasy Mode

Play in Story Focused Mode

FF16 - Select Story Focused Mode
Story Focused Mode has enemies and opponents that are less difficult to fight. As they are easier to fight, you can make the most of this game mode by clearing multiple enemies for farming ability points.

Note that this is only effective during your first playthrough since starting Final Fantasy mode will lock you out from switching between Story or Action Focused.
