The Hand of Enceladus Stage Guides

Stage 1

Trial Stage Tips

Extend Gungnir and Heaven's Cloud to Full Duration

Both Gungnir and Heaven's Cloud are abilities that you'll be able to use repeatedly until their full duration. If you manage to hit all strikes on an enemy using either ability, you'll gain a 12 second bonus!

Try to use these when there are a lot of enemies so that you won't miss a hit and for maximum efficiency.

Aim to Get Time Bonuses During This Stage

The time bonuses are easy to get during this stage because of the weaker enemies and the easier abilities to use. Don't rush beating this stage and try to maximize getting these time bonuses with both of your abilities while you easily can.

Stage 2

Trial Stage Tips

Use Rift Slip Three Times to Get Time Bonus

Rift Slip is an ability that makes you able to act again immediately after an attack, bypassing the attack's recovery time. If you manage to strike an enemy after, Rift Slip's cooldown will get halved.

Managing to use Rift Slip and the follow up attack three times in a row will get you a 12 second bonus!

Group Enemies Before Using Heaven's Cloud

Heaven's Cloud affects a huge area, so it's recommended to use it where there are a lot of enemies for maximum efficiency. Make sure to extend it to its maximum duration to get the 12 second bonus.

Stage 3

Trial Stage Tips

Clear Small Enemies First Before Using Dancing Steel

When you manage to land all hits of a Dancing Steel attack on a single enemy, you'll be able to get a 15 second bonus! However, note that if you hit another enemy while using Dancing Steel, you won't get this bonus.

It's recommended to clear out the smaller enemies first and use Dancing Steel on the bigger ones.

Final Stage: Darkbound Chimera

Trial Stage Tips

No Time Bonuses can be Obtained

You won't be able to get time bonuses from techniques in the final stage and will have to finish it with all the time you accumulated from the first three stages. Use your abilities efficiently and try to have both of them up once the Darkbound Chimera is staggered.

Use Gungnir to Deplete Its Will Gauge

Gungnir is good for depleting the Chimera's Will Gauge, so use it and extend the duration as much as possible to stagger the Chimera.

However, it's also good to use it when the Chimera is staggered since it can be hard to pull off the full duration otherwise.

Use Dancing Steel Whenever It's Available

Dancing Steel is a very powerful ability, so use it whenever it's available for maximum efficiency. Be careful of the slow channeling upon casting; only use it when you have a good opening!

Chimera Will Breathe Fire When Its Eyes Start Glowing

The Chimera has a fire breathing attack that deals a lot of damage in front of it. You can anticipate this attack by watching out for its eyes.

Dodge to the side when it uses this attack and take advantage of it being stuck with this attack by attacking it from the side as much as possible!

The Hand of Enceladus General Tips

Trial by Darkness Tips

Wait for Zantetsuken to get to Level 5 Before Using It

You can fill up Odin's mechanic, Zantetsuken, up to level 5, by using Odin's other abilities. While you can use Zantetsuken on lower levels, it's recommended to fill it up to level 5 first. Using a fully charged Zantetsuken gives a 15 second bonus!

A level 5 Zantetsuken can one shot smaller enemies and deals heavy damage to everything else.

Limit Break Gauge Can't Be Filled with Arm of Darkness

You can toggle Odin's Arm of Darkness so you can fill the Zantetsuken even with normal attacks. However, it comes with the tradeoff of not being able to fill the Limit Break gauge with normal attacks.

It's recommended to use Arm of Darkness anyway, since Zantetsuken is a really strong ability when filled up and it's good to focus on it instead of also focusing on the Limit Break gauge.
