Weapon Stats Explained

Weapon Attack and Stagger Explained

Weapon Stat Description
FF16 - Attack Attack
Indicates the weapon's capacity to deal damage.
FF16 - Attack Stagger
Indicates an ability's capacity to break a target's will.

Clive's weapons have two stats: Attack and Stagger. The Attack stat defines how much damage Clive can do with each basic attack, while the Stagger stat defines how quickly Clive can deplete an enemy's stagger meter. The higher these values are, the more effective Clive can be in combat.

Weapons found will only have the Attack and Stagger stats, and no HP, defense, or effect. To learn more about stats, check out this guide:

Progressing the game by completing main quests will unlock more powerful and unique weapons, so be sure to take on Clive's story!

Craft Weapons at the Black Hammer

Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) - Craft Weapons with Blackthorne
Players will be able to craft weapons with the assistance of Blackthorne, whose forge is located in Cid's Hideaway. Players will have to collect materials alongside a paying crafting fee to make their desired weapons.

Note that some weapons and equipment can only be crafted upon completion of select Side Quests and Hunt Board requests. Be sure to complete each one so as not to miss any notable gear!

How to Upgrade Weapons

Reinforce Weapons at the Black Hammer

Weapons can be upgraded by the blacksmith at the Black Hammer, located in Cid's Hideaway. From there, players will be able to craft and upgrade weapons. Using specific materials, players will be able to upgrade weapons to make them stronger.
