The first half of your battle with Morbol will commence with two basic tentacle attacks which you can easily dodge. One of them is where it will sweep its tentacles sideways and the other where it will lift them up and strike down towards you.
Both of these attacks are slow and predictable and you can use Precision Dodge then launch a Precision Attack afterwards. The swamp area is large enough for you to maneuver around so take advantage of it.
On rare occurences, it will dig its tentacle underground and will sprout up from the water from where you were standing a second earlier. When this happens, dodge or keep moving around to avoid getting hit by it.
Morbol will occassionally spit out Black Goo which will slow you down and deplete your health. A great tactic to not get caught in this is to only attack the boss on its side or back to avoid its mouth entirely.
Getting caught in its Bad Breath can put you to sleep; luckily this ability takes time to charge up and you have an ample amount of time to steer clear of it.
While Morbol is unleashing this deadly ability, move to its side and use Rising Flames (R2 and Square) to deal massive damage!
After staggering it for the first time, a series of Cinematic Strikes and Evasions will frequently occur where in it will suck the water from its mouth and drag you along with it.
Successfully executing these events at the correct time will stagger Morbol leaving it vulnerable to your attacks.
Once you get Morbol below half of its HP, it will start attacking you with Wild Rage, a special ability where in it will rush and leap towards you relentlessly twice.
Dodge both attacks until it will stop and recover for a few seconds. This is your chance to unleash a combination of attacks.
