How to Exit Training Mode

Hone your skills and practice different combos in the Hall of Virtue, a customizable training area in Final Fantasy 16 (FF16). Learn how to exit training mode, how to set it up, and how to start training mode.

How to Exit Training Mode

Press the Touchpad and Press Triangle

FF16 - Leaving the Hall of Virtue

Pressing the Touchpad brings up the Training Options screen. From here, press the Triangle button and a prompt will appear, asking you to confirm leaving the Hall of Virtue. Selecting "Yes" will return you to the Arete Stone's menu.

How to Set Up Training Mode

Tweak Settings to Your Liking

FF16 - Training Options Menu

Press the Touchpad to open the Training Options screen. You can see a list of different options to toggle on and off.

List of Training Options

Options Description
Input Display Display all button inputs on screen.
Action Log Display action log.
Invincibility No damage is taken.
Regen HP is restored automatically.
Burst Timing Displays magic burst timing.
Recast Timers When on, all ability/feat recast timers are ignored.
Enemy Aggro Enemies will attack.
Enemy Invincibility Enemies will not lose HP.
Select Target Select an enemy with which to train.

Tweak these settings to customize the training area to your liking!

You Can Choose Enemies You've Encountered That Aren't Bosses

FF16 - Available Opponents

Enemies you've encountered throughout your journey will show up and be listed as an available opponents you can practice on in Training Mode. Bosses do not show up as available opponents.

Interact With the Arete Stone

Map View Overworld View

Interacting with the Arete Stone and selecting the Hall of Virtue will begin the Training Mode. An Arete Stone is available in Cid's Hideaway.
