How to Command Torgal

How to Command Torgal

The goodest boy, Torgal, is ready to aid you in battle and awaits your command in Final Fantasy 16 (FF16). Read on to learn how to command Torgal, executing precision sics, and how to check Torgal's attributes.

How to Command Torgal

Use the D-Pad to Command Torgal

FF16 - Torgal Commands

Use the Up, Right, and Down D-Pad to give Torgal commands. Pressing the Left D-Pad switched the commands to item shortcuts.

Can You Pet Torgal?

Torgal's Sic

Pressing the Up D-Pad commands Torgal to attack enemies.

Precision Sic (Ground)

Executing a Precision Sic with Sic to enemies on the ground will let Torgal perform a combo onto an enemy.

Precision Sic (Aerial)

Executing a Precision Sic with Sic to enemies in the air will turn Torgal into a spinning flame wheel that deals damage to the targeted enemy.

Torgal's Heal

Pressing the Right D-Pad commands Torgal to cast a Cure on Clive, restoring his recoverable HP. Clive's recoverable HP is indicated by a more dull-looking color green. Torgal's heal cannot exceed Clive's recoverable HP, and you can only restore your HP over the threshold by using Potions and High Potions.

Torgal's Ravage

Pressing the Down D-Pad commands Torgal to Ravage an enemy. This lets Torgal launch an enemy into the air.

Precision Sic (Ground)

Executing a Precision Sic with Ravage to enemies on the ground will let Torgal perform a combo where he'll whirl onto enemies while covered in flames, and knocks them up into the air.

Precision Sic (Aerial)

Executing a Precision Sic with Ravage to enemies in the air will make Torgal knock them down to the ground, damaging them, and resulting in the enemies being in a downed state.

Ring of Timely Assistance Automates Commands

FF16 - Ring of Timely Assistance

Equipping the Ring of Timely Assistance automates commands for Torgal. Having this equipped makes it easier to perform combos with Torgal, but it does not perform Precision Sics 100% of the time.

Some players might find this accessory as a liability since it disrupts the timing on when to perform a Precision Sic.

Executing Precision Sics

Command Torgal to Attack After Toppling or Dodging Enemies

Precision Sics are combos made by Torgal when executed after dodging or toppling enemies. This is helpful in dealing extra damage when performed right.

How to Do Precision Sics

How to Check Torgal's Attributes

FF16 - Torgal

Torgal's attributes can be checked in the Attributes Screen and pressing L1 or R1 to switch Clive's attributes to Torgal's.
