Defeating a major boss and not suffering any damage rewards a Medal of Valor for that boss. These can be earned either through normal gameplay or with Stage Replay. We are currently checking for other bosses that reward a Medal of Valor, so check back later for more!
Medals of Valor carry over even after you start your play through in the New Game Plus mode.
Medals of Valor are proof that you've beaten a boss while taking no damage. However, they serve no other purpose besides bragging rights.

Ring of Timely Evasion | When equipped, Clive will automatically evade attacks, as long as the attack can be evaded. |
Equipping either the Ring of Timely Focus or Ring of Timely Evasion can greatly help with avoiding hits. Do keep in mind that the you cannot evade attacks in the middle of attacking, so don't play too recklessly.

Another way to earn a Medal of Valor is to attempt the boss once you're stronger. If you failed to take no damage during your first run with the boss, you can always retry later in Stage Replay. As you gain more abilities and better equipment in the game, clearing out the earlier bosses should be a breeze.
One drawback, however, is that you can't save during a Stage Replay. It's best to avoid messing up during the actual fight since reaching it can get time consuming.
