Phoenix Summon Guide and How to Unlock

How to Unlock Phoenix

Unlocked During Sunrise, Sunset

Phoenix's abilities are acquired at the start of the Sunrise, Sunset main quest. Although Clive will already have access to the Eikon's ability tree during this main quest, you can only use them from the beginning of the next, Lost in a Fog.

Flames of Rebirth	Attack: Stagger: Summon a massive pillar of fire that burns all enemies caught within the flames, while also partially restoring Clive's HP.	120s
Phoenix Shift	Attack: Stagger: Use the Blessing of the Phoenix to close the gap between a target. Both melee attacks and magicked shots can be dealt while shifting.	N/A
Scarlet Cyclone	Attack: Stagger: Spin quickly, creating a ring of fire that burns all enemies in range.	30s

Phoenix grants Clive 5 total Abilities that he can learn and use in combat. In order to learn and master all of Phoenix's Abilities, it would require the player to rack up a total of 13,425 Abilitiy Points.

Be sure to farm for AP by equipping The Wages of Warcraft accessory and beating Bluebirds to quickly earn AP and unlock all of Phoenix's Abilities!

How to Use Phoenix

Equip Phoenix's Eikonic Abilities

Since Clive isn't Phoenix's Dominant, he will not be able to transform into Phoenix but instead gain access to its Fire-based attacks after obtaining its essence.

After acquiring Phoenix, this Eikon's abilities will be unlocked in the Abilities menu and be available for upgrade. You can then equip them to Clive and use its attacks in combat.

Play as the Phoenix in Certain Fights

Certain points of the story will allow players to assume control of the Phoenix and use it in battle. One such battles is when fighting against Bahamut, where a section of the fight turns into an on-rails shooter where Phoenix fires flame magic onto Bahamut.

Phoenix is initially inherited by Joshua Rosfield who awakened as the dominant of the Phoenix as soon as he was born.
