Some are Missable After The Crystal's Curse Quest

Entering the Mothercrystal in Drake's Head during The Crystal's Curse main quest is a point of no return. There will be side quests that you won't be able to finish once you decide to progress, so finish them before progressing further! You'll be able to check for any available side quest through the Alliant Reports.

What is Side Quest Lock?

A Side Quest Lock happens during certain parts of some main quests where you'll be unable to progress or acquire any side quests. This is indicated by a lock icon on the side quest exclamation markers.

You'll have to finish the active main quest to release the Quest Lock.

How to Find Side Quests

Locate Characters with Green Exclamation Marker

To start a Side Quest, you must find and talk to people with green exclamation marker above their heads. You can also check the Alliant Reports to see the Side Quests and teleport to their location!

How to Track Side Quests

Through Journal or To-Do List

Active and completed Side Quests can be checked through your Journal on the Main Menu. Objectives for up to 3 ongoing Side Quests can be tracked simultaneously via your To-Do List, on top of your main quest objectives.

After accepting a Side Quest, its objectives are also denoted in the overworld with green exclamation markers.

Standard Side Quests

The standard Side Quests are the quests that involve characters that are usually not part of the main story. Some Side Quests come with simple errand requests, and some can come in more complex chain quests.

Hunt Board Quests

As the name implies, Hunt Board Quests are quests that requires you to hunt specific monsters in the game. You can access the Hunt Board by talking to Otto, which you can find in Cid's Hideaway.
