How to Unlock

FINAL FANTASY 16 - Enter the Vortex
Awakening will start once you enter the Eye of the Tempest in Wings of Change quest. You will be going solo this time, as you got separated from Cid and Torgal because of debris.

FINAL FANTASY 16 - How to Beat Garuda First Phase
Garuda will mostly do ground and explosive magic attacks to hit Clive. You can avoid most of them if you spend your time in the air using aerial attacks and combos! You can also dodge them whenever possible.

Garuda Second Phase

FINAL FANTASY 16 - How to Beat Garuda Second Phase
You will be using Ifrit at this point of the story, and it will be a fight between two Eikons. Ifrit has a basic move set, similar to Clive's default and starting abilities.

There will be no precision dodges and counter when you evade an attack, so try to patiently wait for an opening to attack and avoid getting hit back!

Tips for Beating

  • Don't miss any Cinematic Events
  • Perform Lunge to close the distance
  • Use ranged attacks to cancel out projectiles
  • Dodge whenever necessary to preserve HP
