How to Beat Akashic Dragon

Step-by-Step Guide

Focus on Damaging its Head

The Akashic Dragon is extremely vulnerable to taking damage to its head. You'll want to use Deadly Embrace or Wicked Wheel (if you don't have it on cooldown) before each attack in order to soar up and reach the head of the dragon.

You can then use Rising Flames for a quick one-time massive blow to its vital point before you can dash away to safety.

Best Abilities to Learn and Master

Partially Stagger Then Deadly Embrace

Once you get its Will Gauge to 50%, you can prolong its dazed status by using Deadly Embrace, then spam away your abilities and basic attacks.

How to Stagger Enemies

Limit Break When Abilities Are on Cooldown

While your abilities are on cooldown, you can use Limit Break to temporarily buff Clive's offensive stats. Activate this so you can deal increased melee damage to its head.

How to Use Limit Breaks Effectively

Avoid the Flames of Cauterize

The dragon will often take up to the skies and perform the Cauterize ability, in which it will breathe out fire in a zig-zag pattern while slowly flying towards you. You can easily get the timing of avoiding this by running through the area that the dragon previously covered in flames.

Execute Combos After Dragon Dance

Dragon Dance is an ability where it will fly up in the air and hurl out fireball projectiles then shoot out beams of flames consecutively, after which it will dive down towards you.

It will take its time to recover after landing on the ground so you can flash out all your abilities and combos uninterrupted.

A great tip to close in on the boss while it does its chain of attacks is by dodging towards it an angle. Doing this allows you to be much closer to the dragon and ensure your combos will land.
