Its Slow Melee Attacks are Easy to Parry or Dodge

Fastitocalon has a weakness of its regular melee attacks being slow, making them easy to parry or dodge. Be aware to actually avoid the attacks though, since they do a lot of damage when they hit!

A good strategy throughout the battle would be to simply keep attacking with melee attacks and abilities when it's not using its spinning or special attacks.

Run Sideways to Avoid its Water Cannon Attack

Fastitocalon's Water Cannon special attack is a barrage of water blasts in a single line. Be wary of being hit by its first blast, since if you do, you'll also likely be hit by the following blasts, dealing massive damage.

When the Water Blast text appears on the screen, start running sideways to avoid the barrage of attacks, then rush in and attack with your abilities while it's vulnerable.

Watch Out for the Attack after a Spin Attack

Fastitocalon has slow attacks, but it has a spin attack that allows it to reposition quickly and deals damage when it hits you. After its spin attack, it will attack again shortly after.

Keep distance from its spin attack, and watch out for the attack that follows. If it's near you, it will do a regular melee attack, but if its far away, it will start charging a Water Cannon attack. Follow the tips above to avoid these!

Beware of the Rushing Spin Attack After Testudo Trompe

Testudo Trompe is a special attack where multiple blue lights on the ground will explode and create sand clouds after a short delay. This is a chaotic attack that might make it hard to see, but it shouldn't be hard to avoid damage just by watching the blue lights.

However, after doing this attack, Fastitocalon will do a rushing spin attack towards you, so be careful and be ready to dodge it!

Among republican merchants, reports abound of caravans being crushed by a “black boulder”—a creature indeterminate in nature, but quite decided in size, strength, and spite. He or she who took it upon themselves to seek out and slay this black mass would earn the eternal gratitude not only of the desert trades, but of the Cursebreakers who risk life and limb with every trip through the Velkroy.
