Buy Gear and Items

In Cid's Hideaway, you can purchase weapons, armor, accessories, materials, curiosities, and consumables from Charon the merchant, in her shop, Charon's Toll.

To buy an item, talk to Charon to bring up the Shop Screen and find the item you want under the correct tab (the items are sorted by item type). Make sure that you have enough Gil to buy it and that your inventory isn't full of that item, then hold Purchase to buy it.

You will also be able to sell weapons, gear, and other items to Charon. Go to the Sell screen, then find the item you want to sell under the correct tab. Then, hold the Sell button to sell the item.

How to Unlock Charon's Toll

Located in Cid's Hideaway

Charon and the Charon's Toll can be found in the game's central hub area, Cid's Hideaway, which is unlocked after progressing through the main quests until you finish the quest, A Chance Encounter.

Check Notices for Stock Updates

You'll be able to unlock new items to purchase in Charon's Toll as you progress through the story. You'll know if something new is in stock when you receive a notice and see a brown and gold icon on Charon's Toll.
