How to Unlock

FINAL FANTASY 16 - Follow Cid in the Hideaway
Hide, Hideaway starts once you're teleported to The Hideaway after the A Chance Encounter quest. You will start at the center of the Hideaway, where different activities can be accessed.

1 FINAL FANTASY 16 - Hide, Hideaway - Talk to Cid
Speak with Cid in his chambers
Go to Cid's chambers in The Hideaway. You can check the map using the Touch Pad in the controller to find it.

Speak with Blackthorne in the smithy
Talk to Blackthorne in the smithy and hand over the Continental Rum. You can find him in the room nearest to Goetz.

Forging will be unlocked once you pass the Continental Rum to Blackthorne!
Blacksmith and Weapon Crafting Guide

Speak with the man tending to the Bearers
Talk to Curmudgeon outside of the smithy. You should see him taking care of a collapsed man on the ground.

Speak with Tarja in the infirmary
Go to the infirmary and talk to Tarja. The Side Quests will be unlocked after talking to her, as well as other Hideaway features like The Thousand Tomes and The Orchestrion.

Speak with Charon at her stall
Speak with Charon at her stall, near where you started the quest. It will unlock the shop where you can buy Consumables and Gear.

Collect the Supplies
Collect the supply on the other side after talking to Charon. It will unlock the Arete Stone, which will act as your training room to test out different abilities, moves, combos, and you will unlock more as you progress through story!

Make for the Greatwood
Open up the map and teleport to Greatwood once you're ready to depart. The next quest, Fanning Embers, will start after teleporting to Greatwood!
