Be Patient and Don't Spam Attacks
Tiamat can dodge, parry, and execute a counter attack so avoid mindlessly spamming your attacks at him. Instead, you'll have to be on the defensive side too by waiting for him to attack you and correctly timing it with a Precision Dodge.
Use Rising Flames and Scarlet Cyclone After Dodging
Use Phoenix Shift after dodging to quickly get close and attack him. If you manage to stagger or break his will, unleash Rising Flames (R1 and Square) followed by Scarlet Cyclone (R1 and Triangle) to maximize your damage against him!
Observe Attack Patterns While Doing Ranged Attacks
If you're having a hard time adjusting to his movements, you can keep your distance and fire off ranged attacks until you familiarize yourself with his attack patterns.
Avoid All Enruin Combos
Enruin is Tiamat's special ability where in he'll unleash three devastating combos at you. Avoid getting caught by this as this will leave you vulnerable and unable to act until the ability ends.
Do not attempt to attack him during this phase since you'll most likely end up getting trapped in his deadly sequence of combos. Remember that patience is key and you'll have enough time to strike back after this.
Precision Dodge During the Third Combo
A good technique to counter Enruin is to utilize Precision Dodge towards the end of the third combo and unleash a counter attack at him.
