1	Proceed through the path until you encounter the bandits.
2	Defeat all the bandits to proceed.
3	Investigate the cart. Proceed further down the path and inspect the wagon to finish the quest.

So I did some extensive testing. The 2 NPCs in boklad that give a scene ONLY become available after fully completing the quest. Tried going there before quest, and during before you inspect the cart and the 2 NPCs in Boklad do not appear yet. I also ran back to the cart after talking to Boklad NPCs and 2 quest giver NPCs were gone. Not sure why there was a scene in Boklad.

When you get to the next town, there are a couple of guys talking with whom you can interact. They'll tell you to watch out for these two thugs and Clive will say "I wish I had known". I wonder if you can skip this side quest, interact with these two soldiers who tell you about them, and then go back to this side guest and it'll change.
