Parry His Attacks and Time Your Evasions
The Midnight Raven is a fierce foe as he can relentlessly attack you with a sequence of different combos as well as follow-up attacks. Once you familiarize yourself with the pattern of his moves, you can attempt to Parry him as he'll be relying on melee for majority of the fight. Alternatively, you can Precision Dodge his incoming strikes once you memorize his attack patterns.
Take note that he can also dodge and counter you so adjust the timing of your attacks accordingly.
Evade When He Teleports
Once you see green lightning aura flowing out of him, you'll know that he's about to teleport around and will reappear beside you to slash you with his sword.
When this happens, ready up your dodge button so you can time that evade perfectly, saving yourself from getting a chunk of your health down and allowing you to deal damage to him.
Anticipate the Assassinate Skill After Futon
Right after he disappears using Futon, he'll pop out several feet away from you and will dash towards you with the Assassinate skill. Getting hit by this will remove almost half of your HP so be ready to evade when he reappears in the area!
Use the Ring of Timely Evasion
If you're still struggling with keeping up with how the dodge mechanics are in the game, you can equip the Ring of Timely Evasion which will automatically evade enemy attacks for you.
Avoid Green Markers During Raiton
Raiton is an Area of Effect (AoE) lightning skill that he can cast around the battle zone; avoid the green markers on the ground as this is where the lightning will strike.
Spam the Attack Button in Cinematic Clashes
Cinematic Clashes are Quick Time Events that will often occur during this fight; keep on spamming the Attack Button (Square) to outclass him. Winning the final clash will kill the Midnight Raven, thus ending the battle.
