To preload the game, pre-order it through the PlayStation Store before its release date.

When the game becomes available to preload, and after you purchased the game, a Download button should appear.

After you have preloaded the game, you'll be able to play it as soon as it releases!

Final Fantasy 16 can be preloaded on June 19, 2023, three days before its release date on June 22, 2023. Purchase it before that, and you'll be able to preload it once it becomes available.

When Does FF16 Come Out?

Final Fantasy 16's file size is 90.131 GB for both physical and digital installs. Note that if players purchased the digital deluxe edition of the game, there will be a separate app that can be preloaded called the Digital Content Viewer, which will be the main hub to access the Digital Mini Artbook and Digital Mini Soundtrack.

For those unsure if the game is going to be worth it, a demo is available from June 12th, 2023 which covers the Prologue as well as the Eikonic Challenge Mode. You'll be able to test out the demo and check if it's worth pre-ordering and preloading to your PS5.

Demo save data transfer is also possible once the game is released so you can choose whether to start over from scratch or pick up where you left off!
